In 2001, the members of the Golden Gate Lodge #6 of Toledo, Ohio started a food pantry after realizing the tremendous need in the community. Administration of the pantry has changed over the years and is currently functioning under the leadership of Director Kenneth Hayes and a group of dedicated volunteers. The mission of this organization Is to create access to healthy food, personal hygiene products and to help eliminate hunger.
The Grand Lodge Food Pantry is supporting Toledo area families in need.
Our vision is to ensure that everyone has access to sufficient and nutritious food.
We are in Need of Community Support
Our pantry is in need of financial assistance to help with operational costs that are currently being paid out-of-pocket, such as: monthly U-Haul rental to pick up the food that will be distributed, advertisement, up-to-date electronic equipment, signage, and paying for printing services, are just a few of the areas in which your grant would truly help the organization.
Grand Lodge Food Pantry Mission Statement
Our mission is to create access to good, healthy food and help eliminate hunger in the urban areas of Toledo by providing residents in need with food, on a monthly basis. In doing so, the Grand Lodge Food Pantry helps to ensure that food relief has a more meaningful and enduring impact.
Non-Profit
As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we have provided food assistance to the citizens of urban Toledo since 2001. Our current organization is under construction, but thanks to the Toledo Police Patrolman’s Association located at 1947 Franklin Avenue, Toledo, OH, we have a location to distribute the food monthly in one of Toledo’s most needed areas.
